From the age of eight, when his parents bought him his first David Nixon magic set, James has been performing and entertaining all his life.

Are Your Shows Appropriate For All Ages?
Yes. My family-friendly entertainment is great fun for all ages.
I do not do inappropriate jokes. Just pure, wholesome fun.
How Long Are Your Magical Performances?
My comedy cabaret can be 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on your requirements. For longer parties, many hosts combine this with 30 to 60 minutes of close-up magic before or after the cabaret.
If I’m entertaining your guests by walking among them or visiting tables at a meal, then a good rule of thumb is 2-3 minutes per group or table. My minimum booking for close up entertaining is one hour.

What Do I need To Supply?
If I’m performing my comedy cabaret, it would be lovely if you could supply a small table and a chair. Access to a standard electrical outlet is also useful.
Otherwise, if I’m entertaining your guests by walking among them or visiting tables at a meal, you don’t need to supply anything. Just sit back and enjoy the fun!
For bespoke performances, there may be additional requirements, which we’ll discuss fully during the booking process.
Do You Bring Your Own Sound Equipment?
If I need it, yes. Over the years, I’ve found that if I’m performing comedy cabaret, I don’t need sound reinforcement unless I am entertaining more than 50 people at once.
I do not need sound reinforcement while performing close-up magic.
Are You Willing To Entertain Outside Your Local Area
Of course. I have performed my comedy magic all over the world, from Las Vegas, Hollywood and New York to Africa and the Far East.
In England, events within the M25 (e.g., a 30-mile radius of my home) include no travel fees. For locations further away, a small, transparent travel fee is added to your quote.
How Far In Advance Should I Book?
It’s best to book me as soon as you can as I need to fit you into my busy schedule. Weekends, Easter and Christmas are particularly busy.
